Construction Professional Services is a consultancy providing training and development to meet the needs of the property and construction industry. We offer a range of development courses and specialise in giving in-house support to firms that are preparing candidates for the RICS/SCS Assessment of Professional Competence.

Our clients include Bovis, Skanska UK, SISK, John Paul Construction, McInerneys, The Bowen Group, Gordon Ingram Associates as well as a number of other firms in the UK and Ireland. We have also developed in the UAE adding ALDAR, Cyril Sweett and Laing O’Rourke to our client list as well as coaching sessions with private individuals who do not have support within their organisation.

Our trainers have been involved with the APC for many years. They are experienced in working with property/construction professionals in a number of countries and specialise in providing advice to candidates and employers on a range of training and development issues.

Gerry O’Loughlin FSCS/FRICS has been a member of RICS/SCS since 1974 and has been involved in the APC process for many years. He represented the SCS on the APC (TPC) Committee for a number of years before developing a programme to assist candidates with all aspects of the APC.

‘Fred Cooksey left her role as RICS Deputy Director of Education and Training in 2004 after 14 years. Her role included the development of education and training globally and involved the introduction, implementation and management of the competence based APC introduced in 2002. She is currently a Consultant Assessor Trainer for RICS and has recently assisted with the introduction of the APC in India. She also acts as APC Consultant for the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland.
